CARP is committed to enhancing the quality of life for all Canadians as we age by:
- advocating for social change that will bring financial security, equitable and timely access to health care and freedom from discrimination
- ensuring that the marketplace serves the needs and expectations of our generation by providing value-added benefits, products and services to members; and
- building a sense of community and shared values among our members in support of CARP’s mission
“We are not “senior citizens” or “golden agers.” We are the elders, the experienced ones; we are maturing, growing adults responsible for the survival of our society. We are not wrinkled babies, succumbing to trivial purposeless waste of our years and our time. We are a new breed of older people.” Maggie Kuhn, A Dialogue on Age
CARP Okanagan Valley Chapter is your local organization representing those aged 45-plus. We monitor and take the pulse on national, provincial and local issues affecting you. We’ll keep you informed, seek your opinions and respond to your concerns. We’ll advocate on important issues. We’ll also host speakers, information sessions and learning opportunities on topics of interest to our membership. We’ll be sharing email updates, and on occasion may host social events or activities. Contact us anytime… we want to know what is important to you!
